Ultrasonography (USG)

Ultrasonography (USG) adalah prosedur pemeriksaan yang

• Pemeriksaan USG menggunakan transducer kecil (probe) dan
ultrasound gel yang diletakkan di permukaan kulit.

• Transducer juga berfungsi menangkap pantulan gelombang

•Gambaran USG ditangkap secara langsung (real-time) sehingga dapat       digunakan untuk mengevaluasi struktur dan gerakan organ tubuh, misalnya     aliran darah dalam pembuluh darah.
•USG Doppler adalah teknik USG khusus yang memungkinkan dokter melihat    dan mengevaluasi aliran darah dalam perut, lengan, kaki, leher dan otak,       atau  dalam organ tubuh misalnya liver dan ginjal.

PERSIAPAN USG

•Gunakan pakaian yang nyaman dan longgar sesuai dengan area yang akan     diperiksa
•Beberapa jenis pemeriksaan USG memerlukan puasa sampai 12 jam sebelum   pemeriksaan atau minum sekitar 6 gelas air dan menahan kencing agar buli   penuh saat dilakukan USG
